So I am taking this opportunity to interact with the world. OOO how exciting!

I hope the summer is being as magical to you as it has been for me so far. This is the first year where I have not worked alongside performing. It is an exhilerating experience being able to have control over my time. I have been able to focus my attention on my music and other music related business opportunities (watch this space for more details on what is coming!)

One of the most magical experiences I have had the pleasure of is last weeks Summer SING‘ festival. WOW what an amazing week of music and culture! You may have seen converage on TV3, and in the newspapers.

I was a music leader for 24 10-11 years olds (Go Green Team 1!) They were a fabulous group of kids, and we had great fun exploring cultural buildings around Cork city, and singing on our visits. Some of the highlights were, the Freemasons Lodge, Cork City Print Makers, and St. Finbarre’s Cathedral. I was so grateful for the experience and opportunity to step out of my comfort zone. I got great feedback and even had to opportunity to conduct in the final concert that saw all 350 children singing in City Hall!! :O Wow.

The festival had a group of amazing people come over from New York and they added that little something to the week. We all gelled together and had an absolute ball. So much so, I booked flights to go and visit them this September before I head back to teaching my Music classes!

So July is nearly over, and August is just around the corner. This month see’s my Brother and his wonderful fiancé, and one of my Best friends from school get married. I get a break from singing at weddings and get to be a guest. I am excited for what else August has to bring, the Summer is really flying!

At the beginning of the year I set myself goals, and I totally recommend that to anyone. We’re only half way through the year and I have successfully smashed a few of them! Life is for living. Enjoy every moment!
